Did you know?

According to studies by The Guggenheim and UCLA, arts education is linked to higher academic performance, increased standardized test scores, and higher performance in six categories of literacy and critical thinking. Children involved in extracurricular arts activities are twice as likely to volunteer when they are adults and are 80 times less likely to drop out of school.

Why Theatre?

Research shows that music, drama and dance are highly effective methods for
relaying information in a way that is accessible and easy to remember. SCT
brings schoolwork to life in a fun and creative atmosphere that will hold
students’ attention and engage them in interactive, educational “play.”

Each field trip musical comes with an SCT Study Buddy and fufills National Arts Standards 3 for Dance, 1 & 8 for Music and 2 & 3 for Theatre, as well as other national curriculum standards for each subject.

Performances are available Tuesdays-Fridays. Visit the SCT campus on Victory & Skidaway for your private performance, or arrange to have SCT Players come directly to your school. Touring productions will need a minimum 16’x 16’ playing space & loading area.
