Kelie Miley
ARTISTIC Director & Founder
Kelie started Savannah Children’s Theatre because she believes theatre is for everyone. She loves watching young people experience the joy of theatre for the first and the 100th time. As Artistic Director, she relishes the process of bringing stories to the stage. She wants the world to know SCT’s talented and dedicated team of artists build a warm and welcoming community for people of all ages.

Jenn Doubleday
ASSOCIATE Artistic Director
A founding member of SCT, Jenn has been with Savannah Children's Theatre since its debut in 2004. She has provided direction or choreography for more than 200 productions during that time, including SCT's very first production of The Snow Queen at The Lucas Theatre. Jenn helped launch SCT's interactive field trip program, Let's Put on a Play, which has hosted over 175,000 PreK-8th graders since its inception. An aerialist as well, she directs SCT's Aerial Arts program, introducing young people to the joys of aerial silks, lyra & other circus apparatus. Jenn serves in every area of our organization, but is involved mainly with 5th-12th grade students as a choreographer & director.

Renee R. McMahon
OPERATIONS Manager
Renee has been with the Savannah Children’s Theatre since 2005. She volunteered for many years in various capacities including costume design, window design and as field trip office staff. Since 2020 she has managed the office and operations of the theatre.

Georgette Ford
OPERATIONS Consultant
Georgette has been involved with SCT for over a decade. She currently works remotely while she travels the country with her husband in their motorhome.

Kendra N. Brown
EDUCATION Director
Fostering confidence and creativity, Kendra has been a teaching artist at SCT since 2008, choreographing and directing grades 2nd-12th. As Education Director, she oversees all curriculum for our Musical Theatre classes and our Field Trip program. Kendra Directs SCT's Dance for Musical Theatre program, serving grades 2nd-12th. As a playwright, she became the first ever recipient of the Pen to Paper award, honoring her 2022 original musical, Backpack of Power, which premiered on our stage.

Gloria Rigsbee
GRAPHIC Design
Gloria has been a part of the performing arts community for over 40 years! She currently serves in a variety of roles at SCT including designing programs, t-shirts, ad other printed materials.

Cynthia Holmen
TEACHING Artist/STAGE Manager
Cynthia has been with SCT since it’s inception in 2004. With a Masters in Education, Cynthia developed our Creative Adventures program to introduce elementary theatre concepts to our youngest performers. In addition, she stage manages many productions at SCT.

Keena Charbonneau
MUSIC Director
Keena joined SCT in 2004 and has been involved with field trips, classes and has music directed many SCT on Stage and Junior Company performances.

Nicole Borysowicz
TEACHING Artist
Nicole has a B.A. in musical theatre from Coastal Carolina University and has performed in theatres across the country for over twenty years. At SCT, she currently teaches with the creative dramatics classes and the field trip program.

Emily Parris
TEACHING Artist
Emily Parris grew up in a community theatre much like SCT and has been involved with theatre since the age of 3. She has a BFA in musical theatre from Western Carolina University and a master's in teaching from College of Charleston. She taught theatre in a public elementary school for 5 years and has taught in many after school settings. She's excited to be a part of the field trip and CD1 team at Savannah Children's Theatre!

Breanna Suarez
TEACHING Artist
Breanna is a Puerto Rican-Italian-American theatre artist, educator, director, choreographer, and vocal coach originally from Miami, Florida. She earned her B.A. in Educational Studies with a concentration in Theatre Education and a minor in Theatre from Davidson College, where she was a Posse Scholar and Bonner Scholar.
Breanna has worked extensively in educational and community theatre, directing & choreographing productions including Beetlejuice Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., Imaginary: A New Musical, and Zombie Prom, which received a Broadway World Charlotte nomination for Best Ensemble. She also served as the dance and theatre teacher at China Grove Elementary, where she choreographed Shrek Jr. & choreographed The SpongeBob Musical at Ashbrook High School for the Blumey Awards.
Breanna is passionate about empowering young performers, fostering creativity, and bringing meaningful stories to life onstage.

Ryan Alvarado
TEACHING Artist
Ryan is a professional actor with over 15 years of experience performing in musicals, plays, concerts and readings in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Seattle, St. Louis & beyond. He has been a guest teacher/lecturer at Arizona State University, Harlem School of The Arts, Gateway School for the Performing Arts, Seber Method Academy & others. Previous credits include Hamilton: An American Musical (1st Broadway National Tour), In the Heights, On Your Feet!, The Tempest, Henry V & much more. Ryan is very grateful for his journey in the arts & enjoys finding ways to serve the communities he's lucky enough to be part of.

FUNDRAISING Coordinator
Emily began performing & volunteering at SCT in 2021. With a degree & professional background in hospitality, she now supports our administrative team as our fundraising, field trip & volunteer coordinator. She's passionate about sharing the joy of SCT's mission & cherishes opportunities to connect with folks interested in getting involved!

Bonnie Juengert
COSTUME SHOP Manager/ COSTUME Design
Bonnie first began volunteering with Savannah Children’s Theatre in 2006. She is currently the Costume Shop Manager and the costumer for our SCT on Stage performances, class productions and summer camps.

Deidra Wirick
COSTUME Design/ WEBSITE Manager
Deidra first began volunteering with Savannah Children’s Theatre in 2015. She is currently costuming our Pooler productions, and assisting Bonnie with the costuming for all productions. In addition, she helps keep our website updated with all things upcoming for SCT.

Leslie Smits-Burnett
TEACHING Artist/ WARDROBE Supervisor
Leslie began her stage management career in her home state of Connecticut, then in Westchester County NY for Lighthouse Youth Theatre. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Media Production. Leslie joined SCT in 2023 as a Stage Manager & Wardrobe Supervisor. She & her husband are expecting their first child later this year!

Richard Epstein
TECHNICAL Assistant
Richard began at SCT as a student in 2013. He began working for SCT in 2022 as a sound and lighting technical assistant and also is a teaching artist at our Pooler Classes.

Eowyn Miller
SOCIAL MEDIA Consultant
Eowyn grew up performing on the SCT stage and joined the SCT staff in 2022. Eowyn teaches 2nd-8th grade students in our summer camp program and is currently heading up our Tik Tok account.

Avery Tyer
DANCE Instructor
Avery began dancing at age three and teaching at sixteen. Trained in ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop, and creative movement, she has studied with Tulsa Ballet, Arkansas Arts Academy, Franklin School of Performing Arts, and The University of Alabama Department of Theatre and Dance. Avery has taught students of all ages, choreographed for a variety of productions and recitals, and currently teaches modern and contemporary dance for adults with Christina Bunn's, Savannah Bunheads.
Avery is passionate about helping students build confidence, creativity, strong technique, and a love for performing.
